More than 20 people have been executed in the town of Hajiabad in the past 10 months

Iran Human Rights, February 12: In an interview with the Fars news agency yesteday, head of the judiciary in Hormozgan province said: "In the past ten months more than 20 people have been executed in connection with drug trafficking in Haji-Abad area".

Haji Abad is a little town in Hormozgan province in the southern part of Iran.

According to the official Iranian media 298 people were executed in 2007. It is believed that the real number is much higher.
