Iran Human Rights, May 21: One man wwas hanged in the prison of Isfahan yesterday morning May 20., reported the Iranian daily newspaper Etemaad. He was 35 years old and was convicted of murdering a woman identified as Manijeh (50) at her work place two years ago, according to the report.
Before the execution the man had received an amount of money corresponding to half of the blood money from the woman’s family, since the amount of the blood money for a man is twice as much as that for a woman.
The Iranian daily newspaper Quds reported the story and identified the man who was hanged as a 35 years old Afghan citizen with the name Reza.
