Two men were hanged in Shiraz (southern Iran) Wednesday January 28

Iran Human Rights, January 31: Two men were hanged in Adelabad prison of Shiraz (southern Iran) early Wednesday morning, reported the Iranian daily Etemaad.

The men were not identified by name. One of the men was convicted of murdering his wife 5 years ago, and the other man, who is 29 years old, was convicted of murdering a 50 years old man, according to the report.

According to Iran Human Rights, at least 44 people have been executed in the first four weeks of January 2009.
