Iran Human Rights, February 28: One man identified as Mehdi Ghasemzadeh was hanged in the prison of Orumieh (northwestern Iran) early today Saturday February 28, according to several unofficial sources.
"Human Rights Activists in Iran" reported that Mr. ghasemzadeh was convicted of "moharebeh" (a term used for those involved in armed struggle against the authorities) and had been in prison since 2004. He was member of a group called "Ahle Hagh".
Iranian media have not reported the execution yet.
