One man was hanged in Bojnord, northeast of Iran, early Thursday morning, October 6.

Iran Human Rights, October 9: A 25 years old man was hanged in the prison of Bojnord (north-eastern Iran) yesterday morning according to the Iranian news site Asr-e-Iran.

The man who was not identified by name, was convicted of rape and murder of his own 22 months old child.

According to the report the man was under strong influence of psychoactive drugs at the time of committing the offence. However, the court sentenced him to death and after approval of the supreme court he was hanged at 5:30 AM Thursday morning October 8.
