A man could be facing death by stoning for adultery in near future in the northern city of Sari

Iran Human Rights, December 13: A 48-year-old man, who is father of two children, faces death by stoning in Iran after he was accused of having had extra-marital sex, reports ADN Kronos International (AKI). According to the report, the Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence that was passed by the judges in the tribunal in Sari.

Iran Human Rights is now investigating the details.

One man was stoned to death in a village near Takestan in July this year, and one woman was stoned to death in Mashad May 2006.
