Two men were hanged in western Iran today

Iran Human Rights, January 7: Two men were hanged in Boroujerd, west of Iran, early this morning.

Quoting Mohammad Sadegh Akbari the attorney general of Boroujerd, the official Iranian news agency IRNA identified the men who were executed today as Abdollah Darafshi son of Shah doost, and Ardeshir Niazi son of Bagher. The men were convicted of carrying and keeping 4 kilos and 990 grams of crack, according to the report.

Iran Human Rights can not confirm the charges mentioned above.

According to the official Iranian reports, at least 15 people have been executed in Iran during the first week of 2011.
