One man was hanged in southwestern Iran this morning

Iran Human Rights, January 23: One man was hanged in the prison of Yasouj, southwest of Iran, early this morning reported the Iranian state media.

The man was identified as "Masoud A." (29 years old), and was convicted of rape.

According to reports published by the official Iranian sources, since the beginning of 2011 at least 64 people have been executed in Iran. The real number is higher since not all the executions are reported by the Iranian media.
