Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); 26 April 2026: State media reported that Amer Ramesh, a Baluch political prisoner affiliated with Jaysh al-Adl, was executed at an undisclosed location. The torture-tainted confessions of Amer were previously aired by state media. He is the tenth political prisoner affiliated with banned opposition groups to be executed in the past month.

He was sentenced to death on the charge of “baghy (armed rebellion) through bombing and executing ambushes against military forces, membership in the baghi group Jaysh al-Adl, and membership in the anti-revolutionary Baloch Justice Seekers Movement affiliated with the fugitive thug Abdul Ghaffar Naghshbandi.”
According to Haal Vsh, Amer was 18 years old when he was shot and arrested on 2 October 2024 while working at a herb shop in the village of Balingi in Chabahar county. In the raid, “light and semi-heavy weapons including RPGs and mortars were used by security forces, killing at least three, and injuring two others.”
The official narrative states that “[i]n the crossfire between the terrorists and security officers, three terrorist elements are killed, and one of them, identified as Amer Ramesh, son of Abdullah, is arrested, and investigations begin.” He was accused of setting up ambushes against military forces.

At the time, authorities told Amer’s family that he had been killed but later aired his forced confessions on state media. In the video, he states that he was born 1383 (2003/2004) and had a very visible black eye. According to Haal Vsh, his family were also threatened that he would be executed if his brother, a dissident abroad, did not cooperate and surrender to the authorities.
Since 18 March, at least 19 political prisoners, including ten political prisoners affiliated to banned opposition groups and nine protesters arrested in relation to the January protests have been executed. Furthermore, two men accused of espionage for Israel, were also executed.
