Four prisoners were hanged in central Iran today- 11 executions since Christmas Day

Iran Human Rights, December 29: Four prisoners were hanged in Yazd Prison (central Iran) early this morning.

Fars, the state-run Iranian news agency reported three prisoners, identified as "A.B.", "R.D." and "N.B.", were convicted of rape in two different cases. The fourth prisoner, identified as "M. A. A." , was convicted of the possession and trafficking of 980 grams of heroin and 38,750 grams of opium. The executions were carried out early this morning in the Yazd Central Prison.

Since December 25, 2012 eleven people have been executed in Iran.
