One Prisoner Was Hanged In Western Iran

Iran Human Rights, July 21: One prisoner was hanged in the prison of Khoramabad (western Iran) yesterday morning July 20, reported the Iranian state media.

The prisoner who was not identified by name was convicted of possession and trafficking of 1122 kilograms of opium, said the report.

This is the first execution reported by the official Iranian sources in the holy month of Ramadan.
