Issa Eid Mohammadi

Issa Eid Mohammadi was arrested with eight others by intelligence agents in 2015 and held in solitary confinement in the intelligence detention center in Mashhad for around a year before being transferred to Mashhad Central Prison. Three of his co-defendants were executed on 31 December 2020 and four others were executed on 8 April 2025. 

Charges: Baghy (armed rebellion) through “membership in the Salafi Al-Forghan Party and affiliation with the National Solidarity Front of Iranian Sunnis.”

Status: Sentenced to death by Branch 1 of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court which was later upheld. Issa is the last remaining defendant in the case and at grave risk of execution.
