Iran Human rights, April 21: Four people were hanged in the city of Kerman, today April 21., reported the official Iranian news agency IRNA.

They were hanged this morning in the prison of Kerman, which is the capital of the Kerman province in the southeastern part of Iran.

None of those executed were identified by name. They were convicted of drug trafficking and keeping arms according to the report.

According to unofficial reports at least four people were executed in the city of Yasooj (west of Iran) during last week. But this report was not confirmed by the official news agencies. According to the human rights activists, the number of unofficial executions (not declared by teh authorities) has increased since the end of January 2008.
