Shahriar’s scheduled execution has been postponed

Iran Human Rights, April 8: According to reliable sources in Iran, execution of Shahriar, that was scheduled to take place on Saturday April 3, has been posponed for at least one month.

Shahriar is convicted of a murder 4 years ago when he was 18 years old. According to the psychiatrists he has been suffering from schizophrenia and was using heavy medication at the time of the offence.

However, he was sentenced to death. His sentenced was scheduled to be carried out in February 2008, but it was postponed till April 3. According to our sources Shahriar’s execution has been postponed once again.
