He was released on bail less than a month later but was rearrested when he went to pick up his personal belongings from Evin Prison under the pretext that the bail amount had increased. He was released on bail a week later. Hirad was arrested again at the May Day Rally 2021 and released hours later. He was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison to serve his sentence on 14 May 2021. He was furloughed on 25 May which was linked to his release. On 6 November, Hirad filed a complaint against the Ministry of Intelligence for his unlawful detention in solitary confinement along with tens of other activists. Hours later, he was arrested at his home with Asal Mohammadi and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. Hirad was released on bail on 1 January 2022 after being tried by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. He was sentenced to four years imprisonment for “assembly and collusion against national security” and eight months for “propaganda against the system” on 24 February 2022. While awaiting the appeal decision in his case, Hirad was violently arrested at his home on 30 July 2022 and taken to Evin Prison.

Hirad was released on 18 March 2023 after he was acquitted of the “assembly and collusion against national security” charge with his other sentence served. He was detained for hours on 1 May 2023 while visiting the family of jailed teacher, Mohammad Habibi with other activists.
