Amir Rahimpour

Amir Rahimpour is a 49-year-old man about whom very little information is available. 

On 4 February 2020, the judiciary spokesman stated: “Today, I announce that one of the spies arrested was Amir Rahimpour, who was a spy for the CIA. He had received a substantial payment from the agency in exchange for his collaboration and had attempted to provide Iran's nuclear information to the United States. Ultimately, he was sentenced to death. The Supreme Court also upheld his death sentence, and he will soon face the consequences of his actions."

Amir was held in Evin Prison prior to the Israel attacks on 23 June 2025. It is not clear where he is currently held.

CHARGES: Espionage for the United States through sharing classified nuclear information with the CIA.

STATUS: Sentenced to death, upheld by the Supreme Court.
